Sharing our commitment to sustainability
With climate change right at the top of the G7 agenda, Treveth was delighted to support our head of design Greg Slater with his involvement in this week’s 2021 Cornwall Schools Virtual Eco-conference.
The built environment accounts for about 40 per cent of the UK’s total carbon footprint, so design, construction and the way homes and buildings are used has a huge role to play in tackling the climate emergency.
As a Cornish company with sustainability at our core, we’re proud to be taking a lead in the sector and employing an innovative approach to designing out carbon from our developments. We have more than 600 low-carbon homes in the pipeline in the next three years and have already completely moved away from fossil fuel heating, as one of the first steps in a clear roadmap to achieving net zero on our future homes and commercial projects by 2030.
Here’s the video Greg made which was shown to welcome young people taking part in the Eco-conference.
