Treveth receives planning permission for affordable-led scheme at Connor Downs, West Cornwall
We’re pleased to announce that Treveth has received Reserved Matters Consent for an affordable-led scheme at Connor Downs, West Cornwall.
There was a unanimous vote for support from members of the Cornwall Council Strategic Planning Committee with the Planning Officer commenting: “The design and layout of the proposed development is considered to be of a high quality, with a layout which provides positive frontages to public facing areas.”
Treveth hosted several community drop-in sessions for the scheme which will consist of 40 high-quality, sustainable new homes in the village of Connor Downs. All homes will be offered to people with a local connection through residency, employment, or close family, and address the local housing need.
The new development named Hedhas Tewynnow, will comprise a mix of one, two and three bedroom bungalows and houses across a range of tenures.
Tom Davey, Development Manager at Treveth, commented: “We’re delighted to announce that we have received Reserved Matters Consent for our new scheme at Connor Downs. This is excellent news for the village as we will be providing 40 new homes enabling local people to find a long term home in their community and put down roots without worrying about homes being snapped up by second homeowners or investors.
“Construction is likely to start later this summer, so I advise anyone who is interested in these new homes to keep an eye on the Treveth website and social media pages for updates.”
