Michael and Jennifer

Retired couple Michael and Jennifer have lived in Cornwall for nearly 50 years. Michael, who served in the Armed Forced, and Jennifer, who worked for social services as a family aid, moved into a two-bedroom Treveth home in Bodmin and say they don’t plan on leaving.

“We drove past before the houses were complete and got in touch with the estate agent. We went for a viewing and got all the information we needed and then filled out the paperwork.

“We love the house. Now that we’re retired, it’s perfect. It’s absolutely beautiful and suits us down to the ground. It’s just the right size – the garden is the right size and we like how we have off-street parking for two. . Our neighbours are absolutely brilliant – they’re all lovely.”

“It was important for us to have a long term tenancy because, ideally, we don’t want to move from here again. It would suit us to stay here until the very end.”
