Treveth submits planning application for Bodmin commercial scheme
We’re pleased to announce that Treveth has submitted a planning application for a 918 sqm commercial scheme at Normandy Way, Bodmin.
This speculative scheme will consist of eight industrial units with floor areas ranging from 86 sqm to 165 sqm. Located close to the commuter routes of the A30 and the A38, each double height unit at Normandy Way will be available to rent or purchase.
If approved, the units will offer flexibility to new tenants and can be fitted out to meet their specific needs. As a sustainable developer which strives to achieve challenging carbon emissions targets set for 2030, Treveth will ensure the roofs will be ready for the installation of solar panels if the tenants require them as part of their operations.
Enjoying a prominent location opposite Bodmin College, occupiers will have access to a range of local amenities including Bodmin Leisure Centre, food and drink outlets and a Morrisons superstore.
Expanding its commercial portfolio, this latest planning application comes shortly after Treveth secured planning permission for a refurbishment of a commercial unit in Pool, West Cornwall.
Robert Churchill, Senior Commercial Property Manager at Treveth, commented: “We’re pleased to announce that a planning application has been submitted for a commercial scheme at Normandy Way. Currently, there is high demand for commercial space in Cornwall but there is a real lack of property available so if this scheme is approved, it will help meet that demand.
“We are a Cornish company delivering commercial and residential schemes for Cornish people. Our aim is to grow our commercial portfolio so that we can significantly contribute to the development of the local economy, encouraging more businesses to plant roots here and in turn, create much-needed employment opportunities.”
