Treveth wins a Cornwall Sustainability Award
We are delighted to announce that Treveth has been awarded the prestigious Carbon Neutral Award at the annual Cornwall Sustainability Awards!
Now in its 21st year, the Cornwall Sustainability Awards hosted by Cornwall Council celebrates organisations and individuals across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly for their contribution towards sustainability, environmental growth, the circular economy and carbon neutrality.
Winning the Carbon Neutral award, against some great competition, is a testament to our commitment to Treveth’s profit-with-purpose company ethos. We are extremely proud to receive recognition for taking a new and potentially unique lead in the volume housebuilding industry, delivering predominantly affordable and private rental estate housing for local Cornish people, that are already designed to deliver on 2030 industry targets for whole life carbon emissions.
Treveth is aiming to be a carbon neutral business by 2030. We have developed our baseline carbon inventory, with the help of the Centre for Energy and Environment at the University of Exeter and are now developing our strategy for carbon reduction with them for publication in the new year.
Thank you to the Cornwall Sustainability Awards for this honour and for inspiring businesses to make a positive impact on our local environment. It’s a shared win for the entire Treveth team and our partners who work tirelessly alongside us towards a more sustainable Cornwall.
